New for 2009, The adidas Response II Wrestling Shoes continue the Response Wrestling Legacy and features adidas ClimaCool ventilation that provides 360 degrees of cooling, as well as the unbeatable reputation of consistency and winning.

The Response II cools the entire foot, thanks to adidas ClimaCool technology and features a zippered lace cover for additional instep support and protection. Its 'InsideOut' heel liner construction reduces pressure along the achilles tendon area, which provides comfort as well as protection. They also feature a molded heel counter for ultimate support and hold.

      These shoes are time consuming to put on but it is well worth it. My son is 8 years old and wears a mens size 8 shoe, his is not speedy at tying his shoes so we have always gotten him velcro wrestling shoes so that he does not have to try to tie them out on the mat. This was the only shoe I could find in a mens size with a velcro closure. He also likes the added grip on the sides of the shoes.

                    Used these shoes hardcore 5 days a week from beginning November to the end of July and they held up great. I outgrew them or I could keep using them. I would recommend to be carefull with the lace strap because the velcro grips so tight, I was too rough after some matches and tore the fabric covers off the straps. By the end of season I had also worn through spots on the ankle collar. Great shoes.
