I bought this for my son, and before, he hated wearing headgear at practice, but he did because I forced him and he fears the consequences of possible cauliflower ear. Now with this headgear, there are no fights, he compliments it's comfort and he thinks it "looks" cool.

I bought this headgear for my son to replace an older Cliff Keen Tornado that is beginning to wear out. This style is lightweight and he says he can hear better while wearing it but he says the foam on the sides is too hard and not as comfortable as his older set. He wants to keep it as a backup and not his main gear.

Bought it for my son ,he loves them! My son won his regional tournament ,it does not slip at all.We will use it for our State tournament.I agree with other customer's review ,it needs strap/holder on the top ,but everything else is pretty much perfect.

As a Head Coach and someone who has been wrestling for over 30+ years I seen equipment come and go...

PRO: I purchased ASICS CONQUEST Head Gear for my 7 year old son... an upgrade from his old ASICS Junior GEL® Headgear. Over all this is the BEST Head gear out there on the market and is better than its rival Cliff Keen Youth Tornado Headgear. The ASICS Conquest head gear lives up to its name, the ear guards have the ASICS logo on the inside that guide Sweat out of the ear guards thus resulting in it not slipping. The ASICS CONQUEST fits snug and is very comfortable, easy to adjust in seconds and has EXCELLENT hearing. Plus you can buy all the part separately and customize it to your liking… all the pieces snap in easily.

CON: ASICS should've spent the extra pennies on including the built in Tie Strap to prevent the Front straps from getting in your line of sight. I fix the problem on my sons ASICS CONQUEST by removing the old strap from his old ASICS Junior GEL® Headgear (retail $16.00) and installed it on the CONQUEST... This is the only reason why I rated it at 4 STARS versus 5 STARS.

My sons truely enjoy the easy adjusting head gear with the comfortable chin strap, but due to the stiffness of the ear pieces, my sons believe that in order to make this head gear perfect, the earpieces should be made of soft foam, like in the ear pieces of football helmets!

This headgear offers excellent protection and can be adjusted so it fits snugly and doesn't slip down during a match. They are low profile so they don't get in the way and my son can also hear very well throught them so he can listen to his coaches.
