New for 2009, the Asics Dan Gable Ultimate 2 Wrestling Shoes are engineered for memorable performance at the highest levels of competition. Weighing in at just over 9 ounces, the Dan Gable Ultimate 2 is a lightweight wrestling shoe that features superior support, comfort and performance.

These shoes feature an injected PU uppper reinforcement that provides lightweight structural support while still maintaining a soft feel. Its escaline upper is soft, form-fitting and durable, while the integrated lace garage complies with the rules regarding laces. Finally, shine up lining material on the sockliner helps release odor when exposed to sunlight.

      First time I put these on,they were a bit stiff and uncomfortable. The second time however, they were a lot more comfortable. This is mainly due to them not being broken in. They offer great traction on the mat and perform quite well. Overall, Asics did a great job with this next generation of Asics.
