These kneepads are made with grappling in mind. ventilated in the area that bunches up the most, making the kneepads lighter.

I have used this kneepad for two high school wrestling seasons. I wear one every day in practice and also at meets. They are amazing, my only issue is that they rip where the small holes are (on either side of the cushon on top and bottum) this gives the kneepad a saggy appearance, but in reality the fit is not affected. If brute would get rid of those pointless little holes I would give this prouduct five stars easily.
Still a very solid knee pad and I have recomended it to teamates who were also satisfied after using it for a few practices.

I thought these kneepads were going to be a bit big when I first got them, but they stayed in place perfectly under my gi pants for an hour long sparring session.

As a former wrestling coach, I was very familiar with different types of knee protection. As a rehabber that does a lot of tile work, I was curious if these kneepads would afford a comfortable solution to current tiling kneepads on the market. Though they have a hard knee cover, the velcro straps on those pads did not prevent them from slipping down off the knee continuously. I thought I would give the Brute Torq kneepads a try. Great choice. These pads stay in place, have a wonderful cushioned feel, and allow me to stay down for a longer period of time. One caveat: you will have to wear shorts to do tiling with them. Tile is not Resilite, so durability may be a factor, but overall, a much better solution for my needs now.

Veteran wrestler here. They fit, they work well for drills and practice. They don't have any stabilizing qualities, but the fit is good for knee protection and they don't slip. The size chart was great too.

These were a Christmas gift for my son. He had used other brands but said these are by far the best. The only problem he had was they weren't comfortable and he wanted me to return them to get a different size then after wearing them at practice he said they were fine, must have just needed to stretch out a little.

My son is a beginner wrestler, but happens to
be a large size, his weight class is in the
Varsity class instead of JV. So he is wrestling
larger and more experienced Seniors. These kneepads were larger and more comfortable. Gave
him more confidence and less pain when he shoots

My son loved the kneepads. The ones he had before, and he had lots, kept slipping and did not offer much protection. The Brute kneepads are great. He loves them!

Very loose fitting and not compression to them for additional knee support. Look great and protect the knee but definitely not a compression knee pad.

i like this kneepad better than any but i am going to try the exo because it looks like the padding radiates out farther from the actual knee cap. when i am rolling, it is like i 'fall off' the pad if i move too far in a direction

My 13 year old loves this product. Perfect fit, allows for some growth, does not slip and provides a lot of grip. He would not use any other type of kneepad.

Being in the stunt business for over ten years I have tried alot of different knee pads, these so far are my favorite. Very comfortable, flex nice with the knee, the open mesh back does not bunch up behind the knee like thicker pads do. Stays in place perfectly. Comfortable wearing for long periods of time. The right amount of protection without too much bulk. The neoprene construction offers good support for the joint. Very impressed with this product.

so far this is the best knee pad i have used for wrestling. i have had some work done on my knees and my last knee pads were ok but didnt protect my knees as i had hoped. my previous pair of knee pads were mcdavid they're good enough for your average person i guess but since i have weaker knees. i have found these the best.
