Comments about Cliff Keen The Impact Wrestling Kneepad:

Great protection if a little bulky, son complains they slip around on his leg, but he has real skinny legs. Ordered Navy and it came in Black. Don't think they acutally make a youth Navy. Good price.

Comments about Cliff Keen The Impact Wrestling Kneepad:

I used these for a couple of weeks. the design looked like it had potential to be a very good kneepad, however, it's construction proved to be it's downfall. Let me explain.

The Bubble part of the pad, which is supposed to protect the knee, is overly bulky. It's bulky to the point of hindrance, detrimental really. When your knee lands on the mat, the Bubble bounces and moves to the side and ultimately is a hassle. I find myself having to readjust it several times throughout a match, and dozens in practice. Protection? There's too much padding, so you get protection, but it comes with the above mentioned flaw. Less is more they say. CK should have listened.

Another major flaw in design is the texture of the sleeve. The sleeve has indented criss cross patterns which, I suppose, is made for a more secure fit. However, it gives your knees a rash and is very uncomfortable. It also inhibits air flow, so you end up with a sweaty-as-heck kneepad after a couple minutes of hard wrestling.

Those looking for abrasion protection, look elsewhere because this kneepad is way too bulky, heavy, and will actually GIVE you an abrasion, though to the sides of the knee. Those looking for protection from knee injuries, there are better options. Much better options.

Overall, it's not a kneepad I would recommend at all. It does it's job for the price, to a certain degree, but you can EASILY find much better. I'm disappointed in CK, which is by far one of my favorite wrestling brands. Any decent Neoprene/Lycra kneepad offers better protection in every department without the hassles of The Impact's design.

Don't let the good looking pictures trick you.
